Well, some Tw%^$T pulled out in front of me yesterday and I hit a curb when I tried to get round him/her. Fell over (relatively minor speed, about 10 - 15 mph) and attempted the "Hey, I can save this one so I'll put my foot down" trick. Guess what? Yep, it doesn't work. Foot is fine, a bit scraped and swollen but nothing bad at all relatively. Problem was, I couldn't get the bike off of it. Fortunately there was a nice guy walking on the other side of the street that lifted it off of me after I pulled the ejector lever. Mechanically, it is 100% but cosmetically it is a bit of a wreck on the left side as you sit in it. Just what I was looking for so this very thing didn't happen to my nice (what I considered to be) mint condition C1.
I'll take some pictures and post later today.
As I was too busy trying not to fall over, I didn't get any details about the eegit that caused the accident nor did the nice guy that helped me out.
You mean he drove off what a T%$£at

Sorry to hear this. I did the same myself and had to have the bike lifted off me by 2 old ladies. :-(

Disregard of safety and well being it stinks :-o ( I managed to do the upset smiley thing its cos I was really really cross !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Oh by the way is there any way we can do a collection for Beamish's lad sort of from the Clubbie's etc? Beamish@s pants wouldn't do now if I sent 2 pairs well !! :-)
BigPaul
good idea - they'd need cotton and needles to turn em into a bedouin tent though :-)
I'm sure if needed we can send aid packs to tony's mates as anyone can send packages or letters to troops.
<packages or letters to troops.>
Didn't know that Mmmm you wouldn't happen to know the address would you ?
BigPaul
there's a charity type thing which encourages pen friends and stuff like chrimbo packages. similar to the stuff they sent out in ww2 where desert troops got pink knitted balaclavas and so on :-)
I'll see if I can find a link and stick it up.
A very kind offer BP. :-)

There is always that judgment call - just brake as hard as you can but hit the idiot if you cannot stop in time or try to avoid the idiot but in doing so probably losing any chance of blaming the idiot if you fall off or hit someone else.
its a timing issue as you hope you can use the foot to kick you off the obstacle and I reckon its linked to bicycle riding techniques from when we were young.
yours is an exec isn't it?
Yep - haven't had time to take pictures yet but pretty much every panel on the left side is broken or scratched. Even the panel under the seat cracked - super.
ouch - well everything is fixable - I take it you are putting a claim in? you can have a custom respray then :-)
Hi Nick,
Sorry to hear about this. Hope the foot is better soon.
Just glad you are ok Nikc. There are some real w*&%$ers on the roads. I wonder if new learners are taught to looke out for motorcycles these days. :)
YES, they are....... taught to look for them and run them off the road!!!!!!
